Mission
We aim to present the broadest possible representation of New York writers and writing. We encourage writers to send material that works both across and within genres, that challenges convention and provokes thought, and, most importantly, that represents the diversity found everywhere in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. By organizing editions of the magazine around questions pertinent to New York and the world, we hope to create a space where writers of all classes, orientations, nationalities and races participate in the kind of rich and boundary-crossing conversations that we wish for our community of writers, ourselves, and you. We can only do this with the contributions of thoughtful writers, so please send us your poetry, fiction, drama, essays, comics, photographs, video and/or sound work and other literary art.
